RECHO AI Inc. Selected for Amazon Devices Climate Tech Accelerator Cohort, Advancing CO₂ Reduction Initiatives

Montreal, Quebec – July 15, 2025 – RECHO AI Inc. is pleased to announce its selection as one of only 13 companies from a competitive pool of applicants for the inaugural Amazon Devices Climate Tech Accelerator cohort. This distinction underscores RECHO AI’s innovative Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) including the Reservoir Processing Unit (RPU) and underpinned by its proprietary Physical Reservoir Computing (PRC) technology.

The Amazon Devices Climate Tech Accelerator is a program designed to help climate tech companies fast track their innovations into millions of Amazon devices worldwide. RECHO AI’s PaaS and RPU offer industry-leading power efficiency, accuracy, and compact design for in-sensor acoustic intelligence—making them highly compatible with Amazon’s smart home and security product lines. The platform enables devices to operate throughout their lifecycle on either harvested energy or a single battery charge, significantly lowering operational costs and environmental impact.

"We're thrilled to welcome the inaugural cohort of the Amazon Devices Climate Tech Accelerator," said Maiken Moller-Hansen, Director of Energy & Sustainability, Amazon Devices & Services. "We founded this accelerator to find companies who can help us reduce the carbon impact of Amazon devices. We look forward to these startups learning directly from Amazon leaders and pitching their technologies to our teams as we dive deeper into their exciting innovations over the coming weeks.”

Minimizing False Positives and Achieving Significant CO₂ Reductions

RECHO AI’s models can be swiftly trained on standard laptops and seamlessly deployed via the Reservoir Processing Unit. By integrating low-power AI models with embedded compute capabilities, the system supports precise in-sensor activations, thereby minimizing unnecessary data processing and transmissions. This approach enables intelligent sensor applications previously constrained by high energy consumption and computing costs.

"By leveraging RECHO AI’s platform, device activations and data transmissions are minimized, substantially reducing energy usage across extensive IoT deployments. These efficiencies are projected to realize annual multi-megaton reductions in COâ‚‚ emissions as billions of devices transition to more efficient, event-driven operations,” stated Jens Andersen, CEO of RECHO AI Inc.

Expanding Reach in Underserved Markets

RECHO AI is committed to serving market segments where resource waste, toxin emissions, and safety concerns are significant. Its scalable platform addresses the potential for billions of devices annually, delivering smarter, more sustainable solutions across:

  • Infrastructure Monitoring

  • Manual Inspections

  • Security and Surveillance

  • Logistics and Supply Chain Management

  • Remote Deployment in Harsh Environments

New Opportunities for Ultra-Low-Power In-Sensor Intelligence

In addition to current use cases, RECHO AI’s ultra-low-power, in-sensor intelligence solutions have the potential to transform various high-growth sectors.  “We are honored to participate in Amazon’s first Climate Device Accelerator cohort,” said Siyao Shao, CTO and co-founder of RECHO AI Inc. “Our PaaS platform, built upon the RPU and Physical Reservoir Computing, is designed to accelerate the widespread adoption of sustainable, intelligent devices—delivering operational excellence and significant environmental benefits.”
